Senior Controls Technician

ABM Limited requires an experienced Senior Controls Technician for its Controls and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Service Division.

ABM is the authorized sales and service partner for Tridium, APC by Schneider Electric, and Generac.

Key Role and Responsibilities

• Programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HVAC and industrial control systems in both commercial and industrial environments
• Plan and work with electricians to install HVAC and industrial control systems
• Be conversant with NFPA 70 and other applicable electrical codes
• Be able to read and interpret electrical and controls drawings
• Supervise staff and communicate with clients and other trades
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask with excellent attention to detail

Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience:

• Licensed journeyman electrician with a minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
• Factory certifications on Tridium building automation systems are preferred.
• Certifications on similar systems, such as Johnson Controls and Honeywell, will be considered.
• Industrial PLC, generator, and general electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of chilled water systems, AHUs, VAV’s, VFD’s, boilers, and generators
• Experience working in health care and industrial facilities, with particular emphasis on infection control procedures.
• Strong Computer skills with experience using Visio and MS Office programs are necessary.
• The successful candidate must be willing to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays, or as required on a service basis, have a clean driving record, and possess a license to operate a small truck.
