Our company is seeking a skilled Shipyard Pipe Fitter to join our team. This role involves the installation and maintenance of pipe systems, supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, and industrial processing systems.
Job Description
Duties include inspecting work sites to determine the presence of obstructions, planning pipe system layout and installation, and testing pipe systems and fixtures for leaks. The role also involves following safety rules and company policies, and providing documentation of results, material usage, and time worked.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and previous experience in a similar role. They should also possess knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures. Familiarity with machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance is also essential.
